Why Should I Choose A Commission?
A commissioned piece holds sentimental and timeless value, becoming a meaningful investment that is more than just décor—it’s a deeply personal, one-of-a-kind piece that tells your story. Whether it’s a reflection of your journey, a celebration of a special moment, or a way to enhance your space with something truly magical, a commissioned piece transforms your vision into a statement piece for your space.
Together, we’ll explore ideas, budget, and the desired aesthetic. I’ll guide you through the commission process, offering advice on size, scale, and placement to ensure the artwork perfectly complements the space. Whether you have a clear vision or aren’t sure where to begin, I’m here to make the process seamless and inspiring, so that you have a piece you love living with.
The Lifecycle Of A Commission
-
This free 30-minute call is where it all begins! We'll explore your vision, budget, get to know each other, and demystify the commission process. Whether you’re full of ideas or not sure where to start, I’m here to guide you. I’ll also advise on size and scale to ensure the artwork perfectly complements your space. No question is too small or silly—I want you to feel 100% confident that I’m the right artist to bring your vision to life!
-
If you choose to move forward with me as your creative partner (yay!), we’ll have a second meeting to dive deeper into the details. This is where we’ll explore your inspirations, stylistic preferences, and how much involvement you’d like in the process. We'll also cover timelines, pricing, and payment options to keep everything clear and stress-free.
To help you visualize the final piece, all commissions include one free sketch or mockup. This step ensures we’re aligned on composition, colors, and the overall vibe before I begin creating your dream painting.
-
Within a week of our deep dive call , I’ll send you a follow-up email summarizing everything we’ve discussed. This includes a contract to sign and an invoice for a 50% deposit to secure your project. Once that is done and dusted, I begin work on your statement piece!
-
As I near completion of your commission, I’ll send you a progress photo and video for approval. If any tweaks are needed, I’ll make them at this stage. Once you’re happy with the result, I’ll send the final invoice. After receiving your payment, I’ll varnish and prepare the artwork for shipping, then your bespoke artwork will be on it’s way to you.
