Sissa Mama

$290.00

This piece fought me constantly and took many forms before this final image- like many women, myself included. I sought out caves of all kinds on the path to where I am now- some for shelter, some for comfort, and others for the embrace of community. This piece is a testament to the ways we are similar and separate- as sisters, women, mothers, and daughters.

8×10” acrylic and colored pencil on handmade paper recycled from my daughter’s daycare drawings.
