Things For Luck
While moving things around in the studio one day I set an ornate vintage frame in front of a painting. When I went to pick up the frame, I was struck by the composition it isolated within the piece behind it. I knew it needed to become a piece of its own, but on a grander scale. I think that’s why the organic shapes hugging the arches feels so natural. Like a rock formation that has always been there- stable and welcoming. Taking it a step further I scribble small intentions and symbols of goodwill on the surface- outward signs of abundance available for anyone to benefit from if they’re willing to look closer.
